The rain had passed in the night and the day opened freshly washed but cool. ![]()
I sailed on the S.S. Bager (Registered Historic Site by both the Michigan and Wisconsin Historical Commissions). Its boilers are four foster-wheeler type D coal-burning and it’s average speed is 18 miles per hour. Check out its site: www.ssbadger.com/badger/history.html
The swell was 4 to 5 feet after the last night’s storm and sometimes it was difficult to walk, but the back of the ship was less tipsy and peaceful.
I knit my baby blanket along side another woman who was knitting a baby blanket too.
