cookieYesterday Jan and I (after the movie, Charlotte’s Web) sat in the car which was warm and sunny. We closed our eyes and we called cookie spirits. We sat quietly a few minutes then began to talk about our cookie project. One image that came to Jan was of rolling cookies. We talked about ease and fun. We talked about inviting others and how to get the word out. Our energy grew light and playful. We’re not cookie mistresses but we sure are dedicated writers who like to make things happen. Fun things happen.

We’re planning a baking day to try out recipes. Jan’s friend, Bruce, has offered his kitchen and said he’d take photos. cookie heart

We’re envisioning cookie stories, memories, and tips coming in.

If it feels like fun, please share your tale with us.

You can also mail us cookies to sample.

cookiesMy friend, Jan, and I are embarking upon a creative cookie project and you are invited to participate. If you are unsure if you want to join in, you can email me for more information. Shirley: sdunnperry@earthlink.net

Cookie Stories or Memories:

We are collecting non-fiction cookie stories (approximately 250 to 1,000 words) accompanied by a cookie recipe, if you’ve got one. If you are not interested in writing a story but you have a great cookie tale to offer, please jot a short cookie note and perhaps we could interview you. You don’t have to be a writer, just a cookie lover. We will edit stories for flow.

Suggestions: Snack on your favorite cookie as you write so you can include all the senses: taste, smell, sight, touch, sound, including the elusive 6th sense.

Cookies Tips:

We’d also like to have your tips on the following topics or other topics that you might think of as fun or enchanting:

  • Sharing the last cookie
  • Photographing cookies
  • Hiding the cookie jar
  • Finding the cookie jar
  • Proposing marriage with cookies
  • Creating peace using cookies
  • Rating cookies or cookie competitions
  • Being afraid of cookies (perhaps animal cracker/cookie) animal cookies
  • Having a spiritual experience with cookies
  • Making and baking cookies alone or with others
  • Creating art out of cookies (pins, necklaces etc.)
  • Dreaming of cookies

We cannot promise that we will use your story but we can promise you that we will thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your participation. We also promise to get back to you so you don’t feel like a dropped cookie. more cookies
